Tom and his wife Monica of Goodnow began making craft chocolate in their spare time ten years ago. Their little hobby soon became a passion, and they began traveling throughout Central America, South America and Mexico to discover the incredible flavors of different beans, and develop relationships with the farmers who grow them. In 2015 they moved to Sudbury from Los Angeles and spent a year building their chocolate kitchen, launching Goodnow Farms Chocolate in late 2016.
They’ve quickly grown to become one of the leading craft chocolate makers in the country and have won numerous awards. They’re the only maker in New England to win a Good Food Award in 2018, and have also received awards from the Northwest Chocolate Festival, International Chocolate Awards and the Academy of Chocolate.
